Dr. Sally E. Shaywitz is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Yale University School of Medicine.  She and her husband, Dr. Bennett A. Shaywitz, are co-directors of the Yale Center for the Study of Learning and Attention.  Her research focuses on the epidemiology and neurobiology of the scientific study of learning disabilities.  Dr. Shaywitz is the author of Overcoming Dyslexia:  A New and Complete Science-Based Program for Reading Problems at Any Level.
